Close to the high school and convenient for us. Food is consistent and good. Typical mexican fare. Open later than anything else in the vicinity.

Honestly, probably the best mexican restaurant i have eaten at. Friendly service. Never have to wait long. Awesome place

I really like this place! 1) It's our neighborhood mexicano and 2) it's just plain good food. Staff tends to helpful & friendly, the food is authentic & plentiful, and the bill doesn't brake the bank. We will be back again.. and again. Recommend.

We keep going to Don Jose simply for the fact that it is just darn good. The service has always been good, many times excellent, while the food has always been exceedingly good. We have tried almost every other Mexican place, but come away disappointed, wishing we had simply gone to Don Jose's. I recommend this little place in a gas station (for real, folks) to everyone, and have not had one person tell me they were displeased. Highly recommended!

Super good!

Use to be great, was my favorite Mexican restaurant. Quality and service has gone down. We waited 20 minutes and no one even took our drink order. We finally went next door to Exxon and bought everyone in our party a drink. We had to go find someone and ask them to come take our order. Food not as good as it was when it first opened. Disappointed in decline.

The fajitas for two feeds three, and the staff are wonderful. Try the fried cheesecake, you won't be disappointed.

We love this place! We're just 5 minutes down the road, so we go often. The food is phenomenal, the service is terrific and the atmosphere is always great. Very clean and comfy place. I recommend it to everyone traveling through our little town!

Nice little place. Service was friendly but running time lapse at times. The restaurant had several other diners but was not overly busy. The tortillas chips were fresh, the salsa was richer than most I've had locally. I had Enchiladas Doña Maria con Arroz. Everything was high quality and tasted good, although the chicken could have been moister and more tender. I slightly disagree with the spicing of the rice but it was so close to perfect for this to be the smallest of quibbles. Music and decor were perfect. My wife will discuss her chicken fajitas in her own review.

Didn't know what to expect, since it's a small place out of the way, but saw high reviews and decided to try it. The food was the best Mexican we have found anywhere in TN so far.

Great family restaurant! However, last few times we have been there food quality hadsn't been as good. Just something not quite right. Never ever had a complaint before. Even had friends & family join us there.

My favorite little Mexican restaurant ever. Drink prices are cheap, the margaritas are great and the food is absolutely stellar. I've been all around the menu a couple of times and everything they make is fantastic. It's local family-owned and I strongly encourage anyone looking for some great authentic Mexican food to stop by and check it out.
